After months of tension and public concern, Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has reunited with his mother, Rose Idibia, in a heartwarming moment that has since captured the attention of fans across the country.
Images and videos of the reunion have gone viral on social media, showing the singer and his mother embracing warmly, surrounded by close family members. The reunion was especially notable because it included Natasha Osawaru, 2Baba’s new partner and an Edo State Assembly lawmaker.
In the circulating footage, Natasha could be seen in the background, playing affectionately with some of the younger members of the Idibia family, while smiles and laughter filled the atmosphere.
Pictures from the event further revealed a deeper sense of acceptance. One shot showed Natasha posing arm-in-arm with Mrs. Idibia, both women beaming at the camera. In another tender moment, Natasha was seen planting a gentle peck on Mrs.
Idibia’s cheek, eliciting a hearty laugh from the older woman. At one point, Natasha even struck a goofy pose that left Mrs. Idibia in fits of laughter. “It’s good to have everyone together again,” a smiling 2Baba was overheard saying in the background of one video clip.
Natasha herself commented, “Family is everything. I’m grateful for this love and acceptance.”
This moment of unity comes months after a troubling period in the Idibia family. Earlier this year, in February, 2Baba’s family declared him missing after he reportedly left home wearing only loungewear and never returned.
The situation escalated when suspicious messages soliciting money were sent from his social media accounts, deepening the family’s fears.
In a desperate move, the family filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS). Adding to the public drama, Mrs. Idibia had posted an emotional video pleading with Natasha to release her son.
“Please, Natasha, release my child,” Mrs. Idibia had begged, her voice cracking with emotion. “We just want him back safe.” The video was widely shared by 2Baba’s brothers, Charles and Hyacinth Idibia, further fueling public speculation about a serious family rift.
With this reunion, however, the tides seem to have turned. Sources close to the family confirm that old wounds have been healed and Natasha is now fully embraced by the Idibia clan. “All is forgiven,” a family insider revealed. “We’ve all sat down, talked, and realized that what matters most is love and unity.”
Mrs. Idibia was also quoted saying, “Life is too short for grudges. I’m happy to see my son happy and safe, and I welcome Natasha with open arms.”
Fans have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the family’s renewed bond and expressing hope that peace will continue to reign in the Idibia household.
