Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy has followed through on his promise to gift $30,000 to Bethel Okechukwu, who identifies himself as a brother to socialite Cubana Chief Priest.

This development comes amidst the heated feud between Burna Boy and Cubana, which escalated over the weekend with a flurry of online exchanges filled with sharp words and personal digs.

As reported by Pulse, the dispute began when Burna Boy shared a cryptic post referring to Cubana as “Owerri Rick Ross,” insinuating doubts about his source of wealth. Cubana swiftly responded by claiming Burna’s Grammy win was allegedly influenced by his relationship with embattled American entertainer Diddy.

To further his point, Cubana recounted Burna’s humble beginnings, recalling how he once paid the artist ₦1 million to perform as a backup singer during his 2018 birthday celebration.

Amidst the fiery back-and-forth, Burna Boy shared a video highlighting Okechukwu’s struggles and pledged to gift him $30,000 as an act of generosity. True to his word, Burna fulfilled the promise within 24 hours, as evidenced by an Instagram post showing Okechukwu expressing immense gratitude for the life-changing gesture.

In the video, Okechukwu emotionally thanked Burna Boy, declaring, “God is real. Odogwu @burnaboygram, God has used you to pull me out of poverty. I will be forever grateful. Please, people, help me thank him for me.”

However, Cubana Chief Priest was quick to dismiss the notion that Okechukwu is his biological brother. Taking to his Instagram story, Cubana clarified that he has only one biological older brother and two younger sisters, none of whom are financially struggling.

He asserted, “I have only one biological big brother and two kid sisters. They ain’t doing so bad. Regardless, I owe them nothing, na my money. Make everybody find their own.”

Cubana further downplayed the significance of Burna’s gesture by suggesting that Okechukwu could be a fast-rising artist looking to capitalize on the publicity. He added, “But my own be say no alert oh, no cash oh. I wan just dey sure say my village boy collect for real. Na still my glorious glory. Make una show workings. Na musician, you fit even give am verse.”

The ongoing feud has kept fans and social media buzzing, as both parties continue to trade jabs and air their grievances publicly. While Burna Boy’s act of generosity has won him praise in some circles, Cubana Chief Priest’s dismissive responses suggest the rift between the two may be far from over.
