Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, and Sir Rod Stewart are among a star-studded lineup of performers set to take the stage for FireAid, a charity concert aimed at raising funds for wildfire relief in the Los Angeles area.

The event is scheduled to occur simultaneously across two venues on January 30, featuring a wide array of artists with strong ties to California. The initiative seeks to provide financial support to combat the devastation caused by recent wildfires, which have wreaked havoc on the region.

The event will host performances at the Intuit Dome, home to the LA Clippers basketball team, and the Kia Forum, both situated in Inglewood. In addition to the headline acts, the lineup includes the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Stevie Nicks, Earth, Wind & Fire, Pink, Sting, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Stephen Stills, Dave Matthews & John Mayer, and Tate McRae. However, it remains unclear which performers will appear at each venue, adding an element of anticipation to the event.

Southern California is grappling with a series of wildfires that began on January 8, affecting areas such as Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and Pasadena. These fires have claimed at least 27 lives, displaced thousands of residents, and consumed nearly 40,000 acres of land.

Among the most severe is the Palisades fire, which is currently 27% contained, and the Eaton fire, which has reached 55% containment, according to NBC. Kristin Crowley, Los Angeles’ fire chief, described the disaster as one of the city’s worst in history, emphasizing the need for significant relief efforts.

The proceeds from FireAid will be directed toward immediate relief initiatives for those impacted by the fires and long-term programs aimed at preventing similar disasters in the future.

The Annenberg Foundation, a well-regarded philanthropic organization, will oversee the distribution of all donations. The funds raised will supplement contributions already made by individuals and organizations, including $2.5 million from Beyoncé and $15 million from The Walt Disney Company.

Tickets for the concert go on sale on January 22 at midday local time, with each ticket granting access to one of the two concerts but not both. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be broadcast and streamed live across numerous platforms, including Apple Music, Apple TV, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudum, Paramount+, Prime Video, Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube. This extensive coverage ensures the event reaches a global audience and maximizes fundraising potential.

The Los Angeles community and the entertainment industry have come together in an unprecedented show of solidarity. Major artists and donors alike have demonstrated a commitment to aiding recovery efforts and supporting those affected by this natural disaster. With its impressive lineup and high-profile backing, FireAid promises to be a powerful example of how collective action can make a meaningful impact.

As anticipation builds for this historic event, FireAid not only seeks to provide critical relief to fire-ravaged communities but also serves as a reminder of the importance of environmental responsibility and preparedness in the face of future disasters. By uniting artists, organizations, and audiences worldwide, the concert underscores the power of collaboration in addressing pressing global challenges.
