In a new milestone achievement, Afrobeats superstar Davido has once again etched his name in the record books by becoming the first artist to claim a number one song in Nigeria for six consecutive years.

This historic feat was confirmed by TurnTable Charts, Nigeria’s leading music chart publication, after his collaboration with Omah Lay titled With You clinched the top spot on the TurnTable Top 100.

The song, a standout track from Davido’s recently released fifth studio album 5IVE, marks his eleventh number one hit on the chart, beginning with the viral smash FEM in 2020.

“This isn’t just a win for me, it’s a win for everyone who believes in the journey,” Davido said in response to the achievement. “To go number one six years in a row shows that the love is real, and I’m grateful for the fans who’ve stayed with me through every step.”

His 5IVE album is already producing waves across charts, with multiple tracks making major moves.

In addition to With You, Awuke featuring YG Marley and Funds featuring OdumoduBlvck and Chike have also topped the charts, solidifying 5IVE as a dominant project in 2025.

Davido’s influence continues to define the sound and success of Afrobeats globally. With over a decade of hit-making consistency, his ability to evolve sonically while staying true to his roots has made him a cultural icon.

“Music is about connection,” he said. “It’s about evolving while keeping the heart of your sound intact. 5IVE is me pushing boundaries and celebrating where I’ve come from.”

This latest streak of success adds another layer to his already glittering legacy, underscoring his position as one of the most influential African musicians of the 21st century.

Fresh off the buzz of his album release, Davido is gearing up for the 5 Alive tour, a highly anticipated global showcase that will take him to major arenas across North America and the United Kingdom.

The tour includes a historic performance at the 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, where he will headline alongside American rap legend 50 Cent and Grammy-winning R&B icon Mary J. Blige.

“It’s going to be unforgettable,” Davido said about the stadium show. “We’re bringing Africa to the world stage in a way that’s never been done before.”

The 5 Alive tour will also see Davido make stops in Canada, performing at the 19,000-seat Scotia Bank Arena and the 10,000-capacity Place Bell.

These shows are expected to draw massive crowds as Canadian fans get their first opportunity to witness the 5IVE experience live. “I can’t wait to bring the energy to Toronto and Montreal,” he noted. “It’s always love in Canada.”

In the United States, Davido is scheduled to perform across ten cities, including the iconic State Farm Arena in Atlanta and the Barclays Center in Texas.

Each venue promises to be a celebration of his career-defining hits and a live introduction to the sounds of 5IVE. “We’re going global with this,” Davido affirmed. “From Lagos to London, Atlanta to Montreal — this is for the culture.”

With a career defined by chart dominance, groundbreaking tours, and global influence, Davido’s 2025 is shaping up to be one of his most impactful years yet.
