Blue Ivy Carter is stepping into the spotlight with her acting debut, joining her mother Beyoncé in the upcoming “Lion King” prequel film. Disney confirmed Blue Ivy’s casting in the live-action movie, where she will voice the character of Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala.
While Blue Ivy’s voice wasn’t featured in the teaser, Disney announced her pivotal role in the new tale, which centers around the origin story of Simba’s father, Mufasa, as he shares his legacy with Kiara.
The prequel film sees the return of Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, and John Kani from the 2019 “Lion King” remake, alongside new additions Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Tiffany Boone.

Despite this being Blue Ivy’s first major screen role, she’s no stranger to collaborating with her superstar mom. Blue Ivy previously featured on Beyoncé’s track “Brown Skin Girl,” earning accolades such as an NAACP Image Award, a BET Her Award, and a Grammy.
Blue Ivy’s journey into the entertainment industry is bolstered by her famous lineage, but her talent is undeniable. From performing onstage with Beyoncé during the “Renaissance” world tour to now making her mark in movies, Blue Ivy’s star is undoubtedly on the rise.
