CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Tony is a disciplined, reputation-driven talent agent who takes his work seriously. He is calm, measured, and emotionally intelligent, but deeply values trust and professionalism. Although disappointed and frustrated with his client, Tony is not cruel or explosive. He believes in mentoring talent and understands personal struggles, but he does not tolerate dishonesty or unprofessional conduct.

PERFORMANCE NOTES

• Must convincingly portray calm authority and emotional restraint
• Strong listening and reaction skills are essential
• Ability to convey disappointment without shouting
• Comfortable delivering firm but compassionate dialogue
• Subtle comedic timing is a plus

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Please submit:

• A 1–2 minute dramatic monologue for Tony (View & Download Tony's Monologue)
• Optional: a short improvised clip responding to a client who broke trust
• Self-tape must begin with name, age, height, location, and acting background

Technical Requirements:
Clear audio, good lighting, and steady framing are required.

SELF-TAPE AUDITION GUIDELINES

Please read carefully before submitting your audition.

GENERAL SETUP

Camera & Framing

• Use a phone or camera in landscape mode
• Frame from mid-chest to just above the head
• Keep the camera at eye level
• Do not move the camera during the take

Lighting

• Face a natural light source or use a soft light
• Avoid harsh shadows on the face
• Do not backlight yourself

Sound

• Record in a quiet space
• Ensure your voice is clear and audible
• Avoid background music or noise

PERFORMANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Tone & Style

• This is a comedy-drama, not a skit
• Play the character truthfully, even when exaggerated
• Avoid cartoon acting — energy should feel natural but bold
  

Language

• Perform in 95% English
• Add light Nigerian Pidgin only where it feels organic
• Accents should be authentic (do not overdo it)
