Members of the public are advised to plan their travel as Taylor Swift is set to perform in Cardiff next week. Thousands of fans, known as Swifties, are expected to gather in the Welsh capital on Tuesday for her Eras Tour.

The 34-year-old superstar recently performed in Edinburgh and Liverpool, with two more concerts in Liverpool before arriving in Wales.

The UK leg of the tour will conclude next week with performances at Wembley Stadium in London, followed by shows in Ireland, mainland Europe, and additional dates at Wembley in August.

The Principality Stadium, primarily known for Welsh rugby, will host the Cardiff event. The council anticipates heavy traffic on the M4 due to the concert and advises the public to plan accordingly.

Stadium gates will open at 4 pm, with a full road closure in the city centre from 12 pm to midnight. Cowbridge Road East, Castle Street, and Duke Street will remain open until 3 pm. A park and ride facility at Cardiff City Football Club will be available to help ease congestion.

Transport for Wales will provide extra capacity on routes to and from Cardiff, but trains are expected to be very busy, and passengers are urged to allow ample time for their journeys.

After the concert, there will be separate queues for different train lines, with South Wales Valleys services queuing at the rear of the station.
