Accelerate Studios has concluded the 5th edition of The Accelerate Filmmaker Project (AFMP), a two-week intensive training program for aspiring filmmakers.

The program ended with a two-day pitch event featuring 50 participants, originally meant to select five winners, but seven exceptional talents were recognized: Iyke Osoka, Mann Kolade, Samuel Ajirebi, Tega Obahor, Loveth Ogbene, Rotipin Tobioba, and Ashimedua Odiachi.

The AFMP is celebrated for its comprehensive training and mentoring, equipping emerging filmmakers with essential production skills.

Participants engage in a dynamic environment, learning from industry veterans such as Kemi Adetiba, Chris Odeh, Kemi Lala Akindoju, and others. These experts provided valuable insights, significantly shaping the next generation of filmmakers.

CEO Colette Otusheso expressed her amazement at the progress made during the program, praising the support from industry peers and the compelling story concepts presented by the participants.

She highlighted the project’s role in nurturing filmmakers to champion Africa’s narratives. Supported by Access Bank and AFRIFF, the initiative aims to cultivate exceptional talents for the film and television industry.
