Actor Nick Pasqual has been arrested at the US-Mexico border and charged with allegedly stabbing and attempting to murder his estranged girlfriend, as announced by authorities.

Pasqual is accused of breaking into the victim’s home and attacking her shortly after she obtained a restraining order against him, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney.

While the victim’s identity was not officially disclosed, US media have named her as Hollywood make-up artist Allie Shehorn.

Following the attack, Pasqual reportedly fled the scene and was apprehended at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.

Known for his minor roles in films such as “Rebel Moon Part One” and “Jobs,” as well as TV shows including “How I Met Your Mother,” Pasqual also starred in the sketch comedy podcast “National Day Riff” and the sci-fi series “A Demon’s Destiny: The Lone Warrior.”

Friends of Allie Shehorn have created a fundraising page for her, describing her as a remarkable and compassionate person who is currently in critical condition. They highlighted the severity of her injuries and the long road to recovery ahead, appealing for financial assistance to help ease her burden.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón condemned the “heinous” incident, calling it a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence.

He expressed his sympathies for the victim and emphasized the support and resources available from his office’s Bureau of Victim Services.

Gascón vowed to ensure that Pasqual is held accountable for his actions, underscoring the commitment to justice for the victim.
