Adele has announced that she will be taking a significant break from music after her upcoming concerts, with no plans for new music on the horizon. The British singer, who has spent the last two years performing a weekend residency in Las Vegas, is set to perform in Europe next month for the first time since 2016.

She has a series of 10 gigs scheduled in Germany in August at Munich’s Messe exhibition center, which can accommodate 80,000 people. Adele shared her excitement about the upcoming shows on Instagram, noting that her Las Vegas residency, “Weekends With Adele,” which began in November 2022, will conclude in November this year.

Speaking to German broadcaster ZDF, the 36-year-old singer mentioned that she feels emotionally drained and plans to take an extended break to explore other creative endeavors.

She revealed that she doesn’t sing at home and misses the anonymity she had before fame, although she appreciates the opportunity to make music and connect with fans.

Despite the emotional toll, Adele’s Las Vegas shows at Caesars Palace have been successful, and she anticipates a similar experience during her Munich performances. Reflecting on her career, Adele mentioned her rise to fame with her debut album “19” in 2008, followed by “21” in 2011 and “25” in 2015.

Her second album remains one of the best-selling albums in the UK. Her latest album “30” was released in November 2021, marking her return after a five-year hiatus, following her divorce.

The last time she performed in the UK was in July 2022 at the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park, London.
