In ‘Hehehe,’ Rema addresses his critics and reaffirms his place as a leading figure in the Nigerian music scene, deserving of a position among the country’s top three artists.
Since the beginning of 2024, Rema has showcased a unique blend of gothic imagery, fast tempos, and traditional Afrobeats elements in his music, starting with the release of ‘Benin Boy’ featuring Shallipopi.
This new artistic direction follows the path set by his 2023 EP ‘Ravage.’ His upcoming album ‘He Is’ is expected to incorporate these elements, reflecting his evolving musical style and artistic exploration.
Rema aims to surpass the success of his debut album ‘Raves & Roses,’ which gained significant acclaim, especially with the global hit single ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez.
