On Tuesday, as his beloved wife Jaya Bachchan celebrated her 76th birthday, legend Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan took to penning a heartfelt note to express his love and gratitude for her. The actor shared that they marked the occasion with a quiet family celebration at midnight.
Writing on a blog, Big B expressed, “It is in the morn of another family birth… of which that has required no explanation… the better half celebrates her birthday TODAY, and all the greetings for her are recognized and shown gratitude, as always.” He further added, “A quiet family ‘bring in’ for the 9th on the midnight hour… and the love of immediate family presence.”
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan tied the knot in June 1973 and are blessed with two children, daughter Shweta and son Abhishek Bachchan. The couple has shared screen space in iconic films such as ‘Sholay’, ‘Abhimaan’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Mili’, and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, among others.
Their last appearance together on screen was in R Balki’s 2016 film ‘Ki &Ka’ in a special cameo.
