The anticipation for the 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards kicked off with the Cultural Day event, a vibrant celebration of Nigeria’s rich heritage. The event, preceding the award ceremony, featured musical performances and cultural presentations, setting the stage for a memorable evening.
Nigerian celebrities graced the red carpet in exquisite traditional attire, showcasing the nation’s diverse beauty. From Liquorose’s striking ensemble to Kunle Remi’s homage to his roots, each outfit celebrated a different region and cultural tradition, with Tana Adelana standing out in a modern interpretation of a Northern Arewa princess attire.
Host Tomike Adeoye led the festivities in a stunning Fulani-style northern attire, adding to the cultural richness of the event.
The highlight of the Cultural Day was the recognition of the best-dressed individuals in each category, with cousins Neo and Venita Akpofure, both from Big Brother Naija, winning the Best Dressed Male and Female awards respectively.
Neo and Venita dazzled in Itsekiri royal attire, embodying elegance and tradition. Their consecutive wins showcased their commitment to showcasing Nigerian culture through fashion.
As a token of appreciation, the organizers presented them with cheques of N1 million each, acknowledging their contribution to the celebration of Nigerian heritage at the 10th AMVCA Cultural Day and Opening Night celebration in Lagos.
