Anne-Marie Duff, known for her role in Sex Education, is set to return to the London stage for a new production of the 1930s play The Little Foxes. Having recently won a BAFTA TV Award for her performance in Bad Sisters, Duff has also appeared in notable series like His Dark Materials and The Salisbury Poisonings.

This new adaptation of The Little Foxes, directed by Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner, will be performed at the Young Vic theatre later this year.

The Little Foxes, first performed in 1939, is set in early 20th century Alabama and revolves around Regina Giddens, a Southern woman driven by greed and ambition, who resorts to blackmailing her brothers to gain wealth and power.

Duff expressed her excitement to return to the Young Vic stage, describing the play as a “searing drama about corruption, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of power.”

The production will run from December 4, 2024, to February 8, 2025.Duff’s career spans television, film, and stage. She is well known for her role as Fiona Gallagher in Channel 4’s Shameless and more recently as Erin Wiley in Sex Education.

Her film credits include Notes on a Scandal, On Chesil Beach, and Before I Go to Sleep. Duff has previously performed at the Young Vic in productions of The Daughter-in-Law and The Soldier’s Fortune.
