Afronation has become the premier festival for Afrobeats, showcasing its live experience to audiences worldwide as Nigerian mainstream music enjoys global success.

On June 26, 2024, the festival began its Portugal stop, featuring performances by prominent Afrobeats artists. Stars like Ruger and BNXN delighted fans with their hits, including their collaboration “Romeo Must Die” from their joint EP ‘RnB’.

Ruger performed his latest singles “Luv Again” and “Make Way,” while BNXN entertained the audience with his popular tracks “Gwagwalada” and “Finesse,” a collaboration with Pheelz.

Era-defining superstar Asake headlined the opening day, delivering an electrifying set that included his hit songs and the full version of his anticipated single “Fuji Extravaganza” from his upcoming album ‘Lungu Boy’. During his performance,

Asake was joined by British chart-topping rapper Central Cee for a rendition of their new single “Wave”. The festival in Portugal runs from June 26 to June 28 and features headline performances from Afrobeats superstar Rema and British hip hop artist J Hus.

The festival’s lineup includes a variety of Nigerian and international stars such as Omah Lay, Flavour, Seyi Vibez, Odumodublvck, South African sensation Tyla, and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.

Afronation also highlights the Amapiano genre with a dedicated stage headlined by notable artists like Focalistic, Tyler ICU, Uncle Waffles, Young Stunna, Mellow & Sleazy, and Major League DJz, further promoting the global reach of this South African music style.
