The organizers of BBNaija have introduced several rule changes in the ongoing season, adding new dynamics to the game. These changes follow the introduction of twists like the Custodian Challenge, the Head of House (HOH) ballot system, and housemates voting for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.

Previously, Custodians had significant influence, as they could affect evictions and the HOH ballot while being exempt from eviction themselves. However, the Head of House did not share this immunity, creating a unique power dynamic within the house.

During Sunday’s live show, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced that Big Brother has now abolished both the Custodian Challenge and the HOH ballot.

This marks a return to more traditional gameplay, with housemates losing their power to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs. The reinstatement of HOH immunity brings back the traditional rule where the Head of House cannot be evicted during their reign.

This shift signals the end of the Custodians’ exemption and puts more focus on individual gameplay without the previous advantages.

In another significant rule change, the Head of House will no longer have the power to “save and replace” a nominated housemate. Instead, housemates will now nominate each other for eviction, but it will be up to the viewers to decide who ultimately leaves the house through public voting.

These new adjustments return the game to a more straightforward format, where the power of eviction is again in the hands of the audience, and housemates must rely on strategy and public favor to stay in the competition.
