Big Brother Naija is back for its ninth season, with the winner set to receive a grand prize of ₦100 million and a new SUV. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, announced at a news conference in Lagos that the show will commence on July 28 and run for 71 days, promising an exciting and drama-filled season.
This year, the show will introduce a new twist where housemates will enter and compete in pairs for certain challenges. Tejumola highlighted that the season will offer a unique blend of entertainment, encompassing fun, vibes, emotions, drama, dynamics, and intriguing twists.
Additionally, the Big Brother Naija Buzz, hosted by Toke Makinwa, will provide fans with behind-the-scenes content. Tope Oshunkeye, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice, revealed that viewers could participate in lucky games throughout the show, such as predicting winners of immunity challenges for a chance to win ₦1 million each.
The last edition saw viewers receiving a total reward of ₦120 million. The show, airing 24 hours, will also feature traditional events like the pool party and the Saturday night party.
