Olafimihan Boydelian Jesutofunmi, known as Boydelian, is set to release his first two-pack single of the year, “ODO” and “BMB” (Burst My Bololo), under emPawa on Friday, September 27.
This marks a fresh start in his music career after taking a break, as Boydelian, a student at the University of Ilorin, reignites his passion for music with these new tracks.
“ODO,” meaning “love” in Twi, is produced by the renowned hitmaker E Kelly, known for his work with Mr Eazi, Joeboy, and M.I. The song blends Boydelian’s smooth vocals with E Kelly’s rhythmic drum patterns to deliver a beautiful love ballad.
In the song, Boydelian expresses his feelings for his love interest, urging her to focus on their connection while revealing his frustration with the lack of reciprocation in their relationship.
The second single, “BMB” (Burst My Bololo), takes on a more vibrant and energetic tone. With Amapiano influences and pulsating log drum beats produced by K Dreamz, the track is designed to make listeners move.
The playful lyrics describe Boydelian’s admiration and passion for his lover, using the metaphor of “bursting his bololo” to capture the overwhelming emotions she stirs in him.
Together, “ODO” and “BMB” set the stage for Boydelian’s upcoming musical projects, showcasing his growth and versatility as an artist.
These singles highlight his ability to move between heartfelt love songs and upbeat, danceable tracks, making this release a promising step in his evolving career.
