Daisy May Cooper, star of “This Country,” announced the early arrival of her baby boy, Benji, after a “scary” labor. The 37-year-old Bafta-winning actor shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, 9 June, with a video showing her being wheeled to an incubator where Benji was sleeping.
Cooper humorously described the experience, mentioning severe post-op constipation and expressing her joy at Benji’s perfection despite the early arrival.
She thanked the staff at Gloucestershire Hospital for their exceptional care during the challenging labor. Cooper, who gave birth to her third child on 6 June, posted pictures from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) where Benji was being cared for.

Despite the difficult experience, she appeared in good spirits, sharing humorous captions about telling Benji stories, such as the J-Lo and Ben Affleck relationship and Geri Halliwell’s solo career.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Cooper was expecting with her new partner, Ant, whom she met on Hinge and described as the “new Jesus Christ.”
She praised his supportive nature and modest income, contrasting her past relationship with her ex-husband Will Weston, whom she divorced in 2021 following the success of “This Country.”
