Afrobeats superstar Davido is continuing to build momentum ahead of his upcoming album 5ive, with electrifying international performances that are captivating fans worldwide.
After thrilling a packed audience in New York with a preview of unreleased tracks, the multi-platinum artist made a dazzling stop in Paris.
There, he headlined a show at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, delivering a mix of his timeless hits and fresh material from 5ive, his highly anticipated fifth studio project.
The crowd in Paris sang along enthusiastically, proving that Davido’s global appeal remains as powerful as ever.
In a recent interview, Davido revealed that 5ive holds special significance for him, not only because of its star-studded features but also because of his own behind-the-scenes role in its creation.
“I co-produced a couple of the songs on this one,” he shared. “I wanted to be more hands-on creatively, and it shows in the sound.”
Fans will get another opportunity to witness the evolution of Davido’s artistry when he brings his live experience to London, where he’s set to perform unreleased songs from 5ive before the album drops on April 18.
The tracklist for 5ive has already generated major buzz, with both Nigerian and international artists gracing the project. Among the homegrown stars, Davido teams up with the soulful Chike and the energetic OdumoduBlvck on the fan-favorite single “Fund.”
He also links up with Omah Lay and Victony, adding youthful energy and lyrical depth to the album. These collaborations highlight the diversity and richness of Nigeria’s thriving music scene, which Davido continues to champion on a global scale.
Internationally, 5ive boasts an eclectic lineup of guest features, underscoring Davido’s cross-continental influence. The album’s lead single, “Awuke,” features YG Marley, son of Lauryn Hill and grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley.
Other Caribbean acts like dancehall queen Shenseea and rising star 450 bring a vibrant island flair to the album. From the U.S., Davido reunites with longtime collaborator Chris Brown and welcomes Grammy-winning artist Victoria Monét and Latin pop sensation Becky G to the mix, blending Afrobeats with R&B, soul, and Latin rhythms seamlessly.
Davido’s commitment to global fusion doesn’t stop there. South African hitmaker Musa Keys joins the album after their smash hit “Unavailable,” while French favorites Dadju and Tayc also appear, adding a European dimension to the soundscape.
With 5ive, Davido isn’t just making an album—he’s curating a cultural experience that transcends borders.
The project is a bold statement of his international status, and with each live performance and feature announcement, anticipation for April 18 only continues to build.
