Nigerian global sensation Davido has followed up the release of his highly anticipated fifth studio album 5ive with a brand-new music video for the sultry track Offa Me.
The single, which features Grammy-winning American R&B singer Victoria Monét, blends her smooth, seductive vocals with Davido’s vibrant Afrobeats energy.
Their collaboration delivers a soulful yet rhythmic fusion that quickly became a fan favorite upon the album’s release. Speaking on the track, Davido said, “I’ve always wanted to work with Victoria.
Her voice brings a unique softness that complements the energy of Afrobeats. We made magic.”
The music video for Offa Me dropped on April 22, 2025, and was directed by acclaimed visual artist KVLDR. Shot entirely indoors, the video matches the song’s sensual tone with dim lighting, elegant fashion, and a cast of female dancers who mirror the rhythm and chemistry between Davido and Victoria Monét.
In a behind-the-scenes clip, Victoria shared, “It was such a vibe. Davido brought the energy, and we just let the music guide us. This is what cross-genre collaboration should feel like—natural and powerful.”
Released on April 18, 2025, 5ive is a 17-track offering that showcases Davido’s global ambition and musical versatility. The album features a diverse range of collaborations with both African and international artists, positioning it as one of his most expansive projects to date.
“With this album, I really wanted to reflect my journey—the people I’ve met, the sounds I’ve embraced, and how far Afrobeats has come,” Davido said during his recent appearance on Clue Radio.
“I even got back into production for this one. It felt like rediscovering a part of myself.”
The Nigerian lineup on 5ive includes fan-favorites like Omah Lay and Victony, whose contributions bring emotional depth and youthful flair to the album.
Tracks like Fund, featuring rapper OdumoduBlvck and singer Chike, strike a balance between street swagger and melodic richness.
“When I get in the studio with my Naija guys, it’s a different kind of fire,” Davido explained. “They understand the roots, the culture—we speak the same musical language, and that’s important for this album.”
International features on 5ive extend Davido’s reach across continents. Jamaican rising star YG Marley appears on the track Awuke, which was released as the album’s lead single.
Caribbean heavyweights Shenseea and 450 also lend their voices to the project, while American R&B veteran Chris Brown returns for another collaborative moment. Latin pop queen Becky G and three-time Grammy winner Victoria Monét round out the Western lineup, showcasing the album’s broad cultural influence.
“It’s about bridging worlds,” Davido noted. “These artists bring their own essence, and we meet somewhere in the middle—that’s where the magic happens.”
Davido also brings in South African superstar Musa Keys, who previously featured on the Grammy-nominated hit Unavailable from his 2023 album Timeless.
French hitmakers Dadju and Tay C complete the diverse ensemble, underlining Davido’s status as a pan-global force in modern music.
As fans continue to stream 5ive and celebrate the Offa Me video, one thing is clear: Davido isn’t just releasing music—he’s shaping the future of Afrobeats. “This album is a love letter to everywhere I’ve been and everyone who’s been part of the journey,” he concluded. “We’re just getting started.”
