Nigerian singer Davido has issued a stern warning to popular social media commentator, Radiogad, following criticism of his upcoming album, 5ive.

The controversy began when Radiogad shared his thoughts on a snippet from the album, expressing his dissatisfaction with the song’s quality. In his review, he went as far as advising Davido to quit music entirely, a statement that quickly gained attention. The harsh critique did not sit well with the singer, who later confronted Radiogad directly.

In response to the criticism, Davido reportedly sent private messages to Radiogad on social media platform X, demanding that he take down the video review. A leaked conversation revealed the singer’s frustration, accusing the commentator of unfairly tearing down a project he had worked hard on.

“You’re out here trashing my work like I didn’t put my heart into it. Delete that video now,” Davido allegedly wrote in the chat. He also warned Radiogad to stop posting anything about him, further intensifying the exchange.

Radiogad, however, refused to back down and decided to make their conversation public. He posted screenshots of the messages alongside a video detailing the threats he allegedly received.

In the post, he expressed concerns about his safety, holding Davido accountable for any potential harm. “Davido came into my DM last night and threatened to take me out,” Radiogad claimed. “Guys, if anything happens to me or my family, just know Davido is behind it.”

Defending his right to express his opinion, Radiogad maintained that he had done nothing wrong by sharing his views on the album. “As a social commentator, I have the right and freedom to express my thoughts on social media. I’m not scared of anyone, but I thought I should let you guys know what’s going on,” he stated.

His post sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans supporting his stance on free speech while others criticized him for provoking the singer.

The leaked conversation has since ignited a heated debate, with many questioning the extent to which public figures should respond to criticism. While some argue that artists have the right to defend their work, others believe celebrities should learn to handle public scrutiny without resorting to personal threats.

As the controversy continues to unfold, all eyes are now on Davido and Radiogad to see how the situation develops.
