D’banj has officially announced that his highly anticipated fifth album, Entertainer 2.0, will be released on August 16th. The album, also known as Entertainer – The Sequel, serves as a follow-up to his 2008 classic The Entertainer, which solidified his status as a superstar in the Nigerian music industry.
The announcement was made in a clip featuring actor Gideon Okeke and long-time collaborator Don Jazzy, co-founder of Mo’hits Records. With this project, D’banj aims to recapture the magic of his earlier success while offering something fresh for his audience.
Entertainer 2.0 is packed with star-studded collaborations, including Grammy award winner Wyclef Jean, Congolese legend Awilo Logomba, Senegalese icon Youssou N’Dour, American star Akon, South African DJ Maphorisa, and The Voice sensation Chechi Sarai.
Additionally, the album features contributions from Nigerian music heavyweights like Phyno, Timaya, Kayswitch, Zlatan, Peruzzi, Bhadboi Oml, and Chuchu Lee. Ahead of the album’s release, D’banj dropped a new single titled Worthy, featuring Youssou N’Dour and Chechi Sarai, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
In expressing his excitement about the album, D’banj emphasized how the project reflects his artistic growth and ongoing dedication to pushing the boundaries of African music.

Following the album release, D’banj plans to embark on a global tour in collaboration with The Temple Company, continuing to share his musical journey with fans worldwide.
