Nigerian music star D’banj has released a new single titled “Koko” written by Olamide, which he describes as the new “Koko anthem,” ahead of his upcoming album.
This release comes as part of his celebration of 20 years in the Nigerian music industry, having debuted in 2004 with Mo’hit Records, which he co-founded with Don Jazzy.
Known as the Koko Master, D’banj released “Koko” on June 5, 2024. He announced the single on his X (formerly Twitter) account, expressing gratitude to iconic Nigerian rapper and label boss Olamide Baddo for gifting him the song, which was produced by the talented Eskeez.
The single “Koko” is part of D’banj’s forthcoming album, marking his two-decade milestone in the music industry. This album will also include previous releases such as “Since ’04” and “Taya,” featuring Timaya, Zlatan, Bhadboi OML, Kayswitch, and Specikinging.
Recently, D’banj shared footage of his visit to Don Jazzy, where he presented him with a gift pack to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his music career.
