The third edition of the DStv Content Creator Awards took place over the weekend at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, recognizing the best in digital content and creativity.
The star-studded event was hosted by Anele Mdoda and featured lively performances from a diverse lineup that included the Bontle Modiselle Dance Studio, Mandisi, Nina Hastie, Cassidy Nicholson, Lasizwe, Christall Kay, and drag artists Manila von Teez and Ina Propriette.
The atmosphere was electric, with a purpose-built venue adding an intimate vibe as content creators, fans, and industry leaders gathered to celebrate digital talent and achievements.
The night saw several standout winners who took home major accolades. Among them was content creator Zoliswa Mahlobo, who won an extravagant 5-night trip to Mauritius, sponsored by Flight Centre and Beachcomber Resorts and Hotels.
This luxurious prize set the tone for a night of celebration and recognition for various creators who have made significant contributions to the digital space.
Sifo The Cooking Husband emerged as one of the evening’s biggest winners, taking home not only the Foodie Award but also the prestigious DStv Creator of the Year Award.
His achievements underscored the growing popularity of food content in the digital realm. Meanwhile, Grammy Award-winning artist Tyla received the Song of the Year honor for her hit single “Water,” which was powered by 947, further solidifying her influence in the music industry.
Another prominent winner was Chris Rogers, who clinched two awards, including the Travel and Lifestyle accolade and the Best Creator Campaign Content award.
His work in the travel and lifestyle content space has clearly resonated with audiences and the judges alike. In the beauty category, Colour Me Simphiwe shone brightly by securing the Beauty Award as well as the Spirit of Africa Award, presented by Amarula Premium African Gin, a new addition to this year’s awards.
Each winner was presented with a uniquely designed trophy created by artist and designer Shaun Oakley, along with a prize hamper valued at R7,000.
Additionally, some award categories offered sponsored cash prizes, making the event not just a celebration of creativity but also an opportunity for creators to gain tangible rewards for their hard work.
Following the awards ceremony, the festivities continued at the Channel O After Party held at the Hard Rock Café, where DJs Ms Cosmo and the Pandemic Boyz kept the crowd entertained.


Reflecting on the event’s success, founder Manuela Dias de Deus expressed gratitude for the continued support from the digital content community, fans, and the industry.
She emphasized that the awards serve as a platform to celebrate the achievements of content creators while helping to create career-defining opportunities that propel them to even greater heights.
