LG Electronics, a prominent technology and innovation company, has launched the K-POP Fiesta contest in Nigeria, aiming to celebrate Korean pop music and dance within the country.

This event offers a unique platform for fans to express their passion for K-POP while connecting with fellow enthusiasts nationwide. The contest will span four major cities in Nigeria— Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Ibadan—bringing the vibrant culture and energy of K-POP to Nigerian music lovers.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in various categories, including singing and dancing.

At a recent media parley, Hyoungsub Ji, the Managing Director at LG Electronics West Africa, expressed excitement about bringing the K-POP Contest to Nigeria, emphasizing the platform it provides for talented individuals to display their skills.

The contest commenced in Ibadan, Oyo State, on May 2, 2024, and will proceed to Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Abuja, culminating in a grand finale back in Lagos.

Winners in both music and dance categories from each city will receive prizes, with the overall winner at the grand finale awarded N2 million and other valuable prizes.

This initiative not only celebrates the global phenomenon of K-POP but also highlights the diverse cultural exchanges taking place in Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.
