Fameidols Got Talent contest 1 is an exciting platform where aspiring artists and performers from all walks of life come together to showcase their unique talents. Whether you’re a model, actor, singer, dancer, comedian, magician, or have any special skill that is worth attracting industry professionals to your portfolio on Fameidols, this is your stage!

1.3. How to Participate in the Fameidols Got Talents Contest Season1

STEP 1. Prepare a Professional Photo for Your Portfolio:

Your photo says it all. It says a lot about how seriously you take your career. We will not permit talents with unprofessional photos into the contest. Visit a photography studio near you to get good photos. Read our Comprehensive guide to uploading photos on FameIdols If you are unable to get a studio photo, ensure that you take your photo with a good phone camera on a white background.

STEP 2. Create Your Video:

Create your contest video according to the instructions for each category in section 1.4 below.

The first 20 – 30 seconds of your video MUST be used to introduce you. This introduction should include ;

• Your name
• Your Country
• Title of your career e.g actor, dancer…..etc
• The title of the contest you are making your video for (that is “Fameidols Got Talents Contest Season1“)
• What your preformance is about.

Avoid distractions on the background. A plain white background/wall is better if you can

Do not use sunshades or any face covering while making an introduction

Your video must not be longer than 3 minutes (180 seconds). Any video longer than this will not be allowed into the contest

Videos with poor lighting will not be allowed

Good audio is important. No point admitting your video if we cant hear you properly

STEP 3 . Create a Profile for the Contest:

CLICK HERE to fill the contest form on Fameidols , You must select the contest name under ‘My Interests’ when filling out the form. You will be required to verify your email and phone number. Add your photo to your profile at this stage. Check for another email with your login details. You can only add a video to the profile you have created after you have verified your email.

STEP 4. Edit Your Profile and Add Your Video:

After you have successfully verified your email and phone number, go to your portfolio on My Accounts> My Profiles and select the profile you wish to submit into the contest and edit the page to add your video. Once you have saved it, our contest moderators will receive a notification to add you to the contest.

Once your profile is approved, your video and profile will be shared on our social media platforms for the voting process to begin.

1.4. Categories Accepted Into the Fameidols Got Talents Contest Season1

We are currently accepting solo or group performances into this contest for the following categories

• Actors – a monologe presentation or a dialogue drama
• Models – Speak about a cause you strongly believe in
• Dancers – Dance solo or in a group. Any genre is accepted
• Comedy – Crack a joke
• Spoken word – Present a poetry or speech you have written yourself
• Animation – a short animated story you have created yourself
• Film Make-up – Before and after make-up character creation
• Artists – Painting, drawing or illustration you have created from scratch to finish
• Others – Any other special creative skill you want the world to see

2.1. Judging and Voting

For your video to be allowed into the contest, your talent will be judged based on creativity, originality, and audience engagement. Voting will be by the number of points generated by the likes and shares your video gets on our 5 social media platforms listed below. The more likes and shares your video gets, the higher your chances of winning. So, encourage your friends and family to support you!

2.2. How are Points Calculated?

The performance of your entry’s activities on our social platforms will be assigned points as detailed below

For example, If contestant A’s video got 5 likes on our facebook page, her points for facebook likes will be calculated as 5 x 20p = 100 points!

*Youtube shares will be replaced with audience retention which can be calculated from our backend as a percentage of people who viewed your video till the end. E.g, 5% audience retention will be calculated as 0.05 X 30p = 1.5 points!

*Facebook Favourites will be replaced with Facebook comments. E.g, each comment received will be multiplied by 20p

*Twitter Shares is same as reposts/retweets on X

2.3. Key Dates

• Entry Deadline: 15th of October, 2024
• Voting Period: 1st of August – 31st of December
• Winner Announcement: 1st of January, 2025

2.5. The Cut-Off Game

An incremental cut off point has been introduced to weed out less competitive contestants and make the entire contest process more exciting and rewarding. A new cut off point will be introduced monthly to enable our team focus on monitoring more active participants. This does not stop new entrants into the contest. Participants who are not able to meet up with the new cut off for the current month will be dropped from the contest in the next month. Below is the cut-off for the current month;
