Franca Owumi, a former Big Brother Naija housemate and the first runner-up of the reality TV show’s inaugural season in 2006, has passed away.
The news of her death was announced on her Instagram handle with a tribute caption, “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
Owumi reportedly died after a brief illness, leaving behind memories of her vibrant personality and energetic dance moves that endeared her to viewers during her time on the show.
Owumi was a memorable contestant in the first season of Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija), alongside other notable participants such as Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, and the late Joseph Ada.
