Billie Eilish is set to read a CBeebies bedtime story, choosing “This Moose Belongs to Me” by Oliver Jeffers. The 22-year-old singer, who recently released her third album “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” shared her fondness for bedtime stories from her childhood.

Eilish introduces the tale by expressing her love for both music and nature.The story follows a boy named Wilfred who claims ownership of a moose named Marcel. Eilish emphasizes the importance of respecting and caring for wild creatures like Marcel while allowing them their freedom.

She recalled her own childhood, stating how crucial bedtime stories were for her, and how she would be upset without one.Oliver Jeffers expressed his excitement about Eilish reading his book, noting the story’s connection to nature, a theme Eilish supports.

Jeffers mentioned his family’s admiration for Eilish and humorously speculated that she might read the story better than he does.Eilish, who gained fame at 14 with her debut single “Ocean Eyes,” has achieved global stardom and numerous awards. Earlier this year, she and her brother Finneas won an Oscar for the song “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack.

Her latest album has received positive reviews for its intimacy and surprise elements. Eilish’s reading will air on July 19 on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer, joining other musicians like Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Dolly Parton who have also read CBeebies bedtime stories.
