Nigerian alté music star Johnny Drille is gearing up to take his signature soulful sound across the United Kingdom with a new tour titled Johnny’s Room Live.
The highly anticipated tour will span four major UK cities, offering fans an immersive and emotionally rich experience that goes beyond music.
Known for his heartfelt lyrics and genre-blending style, Johnny is promising more than just a concert series—he’s preparing what he calls a “musical journey of the soul.”
Organized by UK-based entertainment powerhouse Finstainment, the tour will commence on April 20 at the iconic Koko Camden in London. From there, the singer-songwriter will move to Birmingham’s Secret Space on April 26, followed by a performance in Glasgow on May 2, and a final show at Lighthouse, Manchester, on May 3.
Speaking exclusively with The Nation, the founder of Finstainment expressed his excitement: “Johnny Drille is an artiste who connects deeply with his fans, and Johnny’s Room Live is a reflection of that connection. We’re not just putting on shows—we’re curating a deeply emotional and unforgettable experience.”
The promoter emphasized that the concerts will be intimate affairs, promising raw emotions, powerful vocals, and possibly even unreleased music. “Fans should come prepared for breathtaking performances.
This is Johnny at his purest—stripped down, authentic, and in full control of his craft,” he said. “It’s not just about the music; it’s about the stories behind the songs, the vulnerability, and the magic that happens when an artist truly opens up to his audience.”
Finstainment is no stranger to staging successful Nigerian music events in the UK. The company has brought names like Iyanya, Terry G, and Portable to British stages in the past, earning a reputation for quality and professionalism.
“With Johnny Drille, we’re not just maintaining that reputation—we’re taking it up a notch. He’s a different kind of artist, one whose music defies trends and touches people on a deeper level,” the Finstainment boss explained. “His music speaks to the heart, and that’s exactly what this tour is about.”
Despite the well-documented challenges of organizing Nigerian concerts abroad—ranging from logistical nightmares to the ever-present issue of visas—Finstainment has managed to build a solid network that bridges the Nigerian and UK entertainment landscapes.
“It’s not easy, but we’ve learned how to navigate the complexities. Our goal is always to bring the best of Nigerian talent to appreciative audiences here in the UK,” the promoter added.
As the tour dates draw near, excitement continues to build among Johnny Drille’s fans. Known for hit songs like Wait For Me, Romeo & Juliet, and How Are You (My Friend), Johnny has carved a niche in the Nigerian music scene for his gentle, acoustic-driven sound and lyrical depth.
Johnny’s Room Live promises to be a fitting stage for the singer to deepen his bond with fans while showcasing why he remains one of Nigeria’s most compelling and authentic voices in music today.
