Joy Raimi Mojisola has been officially crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025, emerging as the winner in a dazzling grand finale held over the weekend in Lagos.
The 24-year-old beauty queen, who represented Osun State, stood out among a sea of stunning and talented young women from across the nation.
The event, which began with 37 contestants representing all states in Nigeria, gradually narrowed down to 20 finalists through several rounds of intense competition, showcasing poise, intelligence, cultural awareness, and elegance. The atmosphere was electric as the final group took the stage, each hoping to wear the coveted crown.
In the final round of the contest, Joy Raimi faced tough competition from four other standout finalists—Miss Ebonyi, Miss Abuja, Miss Abia, and Miss Imo—each of whom had impressed both judges and the audience with their charisma and stage presence.
However, it was Raimi’s eloquence, confidence, and authentic representation of Nigerian values that eventually won the judges over.
Speaking after her victory, an emotional Raimi said, “This moment is a dream come true. I am deeply grateful to God, my family, and the people of Osun State. I promise to represent Nigeria with grace, dignity, and pride on the world stage.”
With this win, Joy Raimi Mojisola now holds the responsibility and honor of representing Nigeria at the 72nd Miss World pageant, scheduled to take place in India from May 7 to May 31, 2025. The international pageant will host contestants from over 140 countries, making it one of the most prestigious and competitive beauty events globally.
Raimi, who has already begun preparing for the next stage, expressed her excitement about meeting women from around the world. “It’s more than a competition,” she said. “It’s a platform for culture, advocacy, and global unity. I’m ready to share our beautiful Nigerian heritage with the world.”
The Miss World Nigeria organization praised Raimi for her resilience and determination throughout the competition. Event coordinator, Mrs. Ifeoma Danjuma, stated, “Joy exemplifies what the Miss World Nigeria crown represents—beauty with a purpose. She has shown incredible leadership, compassion, and intellect. We are confident that she will make Nigeria proud in India.”
As the nation rallies behind its new queen, all eyes are now on her next journey to the international stage, where she hopes to bring the Miss World crown home.
