Justin Bieber has forcefully shut down rumors that he is facing financial trouble, following a report that claimed he was in millions of dollars of debt.

The 31-year-old pop star, through a statement released by his representatives on Wednesday, described the rumors as unfounded and ridiculous.

The speculation came after The Hollywood Reporter published an article quoting a former member of Bieber’s team, who alleged that the singer’s decision to cancel his Justice World Tour had plunged him into financial instability.

The source claimed the cancellation, which followed several postponements due to Bieber’s health challenges, had left him in a deep financial hole.

In response, Bieber’s team didn’t mince words. In a statement to Us Weekly, they categorically dismissed the claims and discredited the source of the story.

“This is just clickbait stupidity based on unnamed — and clearly ill-informed — ‘sources,’ disappointed that they no longer work with Justin,” the statement read.

The pop star’s team emphasized that the story was built on hearsay and conjecture, and designed to generate attention without any factual backing.

They further implied that the person behind the claims was likely motivated by bitterness or regret over their past association with Bieber.

The team went on to highlight that Bieber’s financial status remains strong, citing his recent business ventures and continued musical success.

In 2023, the singer sold his music catalog for a reported $200 million, and has continued to collaborate with top artists and brands. Despite taking a step back from performing due to his health, Bieber has remained active in the industry, making select appearances and working behind the scenes on new projects.

“Justin is not broke, nor is he anywhere near financial distress,” the rep added. “He’s taking care of his health, spending time with family, and exploring new creative directions.”

Bieber’s camp made it clear that while he may no longer be in the spotlight as frequently as before, rumors about his downfall are not only untrue but also harmful.

They urged the media to avoid spreading misinformation and to fact-check stories before publication. “We understand the curiosity about Justin, but stories like these are reckless and dishonest,” the statement concluded.

With this firm response, Bieber joins a growing list of celebrities pushing back against the culture of speculative reporting and false narratives that often swirl around public figures.
