Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has never been one to shy away from speaking her mind, and once again, she has made it clear that she will not tolerate baseless insults from social media trolls.

Responding to derogatory names like ‘prostitute’ and ‘olosho’ hurled at her by online critics, the actress expressed her irritation, dismissing their insults as nothing more than a demonstration of their lack of intelligence. In a post on X, she challenged them to be more creative if they were so determined to attack her.

“Name-calling like olosho, prostitute, and the like is just so tiring to hear. Can’t you come up with more intelligent responses?” she wrote, her words dripping with exasperation. She further mocked their lack of wit, adding, “Oh well, sense was in abundance, but that’s when you decided to walk away so that you would be bereft of brains. Dullards!”

Her post quickly gained traction, sparking a wave of reactions from both fans and fellow entertainers.

Many social media users rallied behind Kate Henshaw, condemning the individuals who resorted to such crude and outdated forms of insult. One user, clearly fed up with the cycle of mindless trolling, commented, “Big Aunty, don’t even bother. Such belittling name-calling usually comes from people with extreme low self-esteem, who either have genital issues, lack home training, or struggle with horrible body issues.”

Another supporter echoed this sentiment, pointing out how insults of this nature often reveal more about the insulter than the person being insulted. “The words are easy for them to use because that’s what their mothers, sisters, and ancestors have been called all their lives. It’s all they know.”

The conversation quickly evolved into a broader discussion about the mentality behind online bullying and the deeply ingrained misogyny that fuels such attacks.

Another user chimed in, highlighting the lack of intellectual depth displayed by these trolls. “Exactly what you get when the brain undergoes cyclic redundancy! They won’t stop sounding like broken records,” they wrote.

“There’s now a limit to my expectations when it comes to them.” This sentiment was shared by many who felt that the persistent use of these insults revealed a troubling trend—one where certain individuals relied on the same overused, baseless attacks without ever engaging in meaningful discourse.

Others pointed out the glaring irony of people who claim to despise someone yet dedicate their time and energy to trying to bring them down.

The discussion soon shifted towards the psychology behind such behavior. One user sarcastically remarked, “You can’t expect intelligence from people who only think with their genitals. Their brains simply atrophy from lack of use, just like any other muscle.”

This statement struck a chord with many, as it reflected the idea that these trolls were not just uninformed but entirely incapable of critical thought. Their primary mode of engagement was through insults, rather than constructive dialogue.

Some even suggested that people who constantly resorted to such attacks might be projecting their personal frustrations and failures onto others, using name-calling as a means to cope with their own inadequacies.

As the discourse continued, the frustration with online toxicity became even more apparent. A particularly enraged user went all out, holding nothing back. “Most of these r.i.f.f.r.a.f.f just open their mouths to vomit senseless things from their d.e.a.d brains,” they wrote in disgust. “Very disgusting and irritating set of m.o.r.o.n.s!”

While some found humor in the exaggerated response, others saw it as an understandable reaction to the exhaustion that comes with dealing with mindless hate.
