An arrest warrant has been issued for former glamour model Katie Price after she failed to attend a court hearing concerning her bankruptcies.

Price, 46, was supposed to appear at a bankruptcy court in London on Tuesday, having previously been warned she must attend or face arrest.

Judge Catherine Burton stated that Price had received “very clear warnings” and deemed it necessary to issue the arrest warrant due to her lack of a valid excuse for missing the hearing.

Price was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March 2023 over an unpaid tax bill exceeding £750,000. She missed the March hearing due to “dealing with serious stuff.”

Darragh Connell, the barrister representing the trustee for her bankruptcies, emphasized that the warrant was to ensure her attendance at future hearings and clarified that she would not be held in custody for long.

He stressed that her liberty is at risk and that the situation has reached a critical point. In February, Price was ordered to pay 40% of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans to the trustee for the next three years as part of her first bankruptcy.

Known initially as a glamour model in the 1990s under the name Jordan, Price later transitioned to reality TV and BBC documentaries.

She expressed frustration with the ongoing legal threats and indicated a willingness to go to prison to end the ordeal, telling Michelle Visage on the BBC Radio 2 Rule Breakers podcast that she had been to court more times recently than she could count and would not care if she were jailed.
