Nigerian hitmaker Kizz Daniel has finally revealed the new release date for his much-anticipated EP, ‘Uncle K.’
Initially slated for release on November 29, 2024, the award-winning star has now confirmed that fans will have to wait a little longer, as the project is set to drop on May 24, 2025. Taking to his Instagram page, Kizz Daniel expressed excitement about the project, assuring fans that the delay was necessary to perfect the body of work. “Great things take time,” he wrote. “I want this project to be special, and trust me, it will be worth the wait!”
The upcoming EP promises to be an all-star affair, featuring heavyweight collaborations with industry giants such as Phyno, Runtown, and Victony. Kizz Daniel, known for his masterful blend of melody and lyrical dexterity, is gearing up to deliver another chart-topping collection of songs.
Fans are already speculating about the sound and direction of the EP, especially given his recent hit, ‘Pano tona’ featuring Adekunle Gold. “This one is for the culture,” he teased in a recent interview. “Expect bangers back-to-back!”
One of the most exciting aspects of ‘Uncle K’ is Kizz Daniel’s renewed commitment to collaborations. In 2024, the superstar took to social media to express his desire to work with more artists, citing his exhaustion from consistently releasing solo hits. “I’ve done it alone for so long, but music is a community,” he shared.
“This EP is about connecting with my peers, vibing, and giving the fans something different.” True to his words, the guest appearances on ‘Uncle K’ reflect this new phase in his artistry, where synergy and shared creativity take center stage.
This project also serves as a significant milestone in Kizz Daniel’s career, as it marks the second EP he will be dropping in 2024 following the success of ‘TZA.’ That EP produced massive hits like ‘Twe Twe’ and ‘Showa,’ both of which dominated the TurnTable Top 100 chart.
With ‘Uncle K,’ he aims to build on this success while offering something fresh and exciting for his loyal fanbase. “Every project is a new challenge,” he stated. “I always want to outdo myself and push Afrobeats to the next level.”
The release of ‘Uncle K’ also ties into Kizz Daniel’s ‘Vado at 10’ celebration, a landmark event commemorating his decade-long dominance in the music industry. Since breaking into the mainstream with his infectious debut single ‘Woju,’ he has remained one of Afrobeats’ most consistent and influential hitmakers.
“It’s been an incredible journey,” he reflected. “Ten years, countless hits, and the love keeps growing. I do this for my fans—they are the real MVPs!”
Throughout his career, Kizz Daniel has built an impressive catalog filled with timeless records. His critically acclaimed debut album ‘No Bad Songs’ set a precedent for quality and innovation, while projects like ‘Barnabas’ further cemented his place as one of the best to ever do it.
Among his numerous hits, ‘Buga’ remains a global sensation, inspiring millions of fans worldwide to participate in its signature dance challenge. With ‘Uncle K’ on the horizon, Kizz Daniel is poised to add yet another unforgettable chapter to his legendary career.
