Director Chidambaram’s thriller “Manjummel Boys,” starring Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi, continues its remarkable run at the box office, maintaining momentum 47 days post-release and consistently shattering records.
After the triumph of its original Malayalam version, the Telugu-dubbed edition premiered on April 6, garnering immense praise. Breaking ground in the Telugu market, the film set a record for the highest number of tickets sold on the opening day for a Telugu-dubbed Malayalam film, with Mythri Movie Makers reporting a staggering 34.47K tickets sold on Book My Show alone on Day 1.
The Telugu version’s success prompted additional screenings across multiplexes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with Mythri Movie Makers noting a doubling of the film’s Day 2 numbers compared to its opening day. This surge translated into substantial box office earnings, with a 489.29 percent increase in India nett collection on Saturday alone, totaling Rs 1.65 crore, followed by another Rs 1.8 crore on Sunday.
With its domestic nett collection reaching Rs 130.53 crore and global grosses amounting to Rs 226 crore, “Manjummel Boys” solidifies its status as an all-time blockbuster.
