Following a successful first season, Netflix has announced the return of “Savage Beauty” for its highly-anticipated second season, set to premiere on June 28.

The drama series stars Rosemary Zimu, Dumisani Mbebe, and Nthati Moshesh, and follows a woman seeking revenge by infiltrating a powerful family with a global beauty empire and dark secrets.

Fans can expect the new season to continue from where the first left off, with the addition of new cast members.

According to pop culture commentator Phil Mphela, the storyline will focus on Don Bhengu (Dumisani Mbebe) losing control over his wife Grace (Nthati Moshesh) and their children, whose actions threaten to unravel the family and their business.

Pop culture commentator Phil Mphela wrote on X:

“Stately patriarch Don Bhengu (Dumisani Mbebe) is losing control over his wife Grace (Nthati Moshesh) and children Phila (Jesse Suntele) and Linda (Nambitha Ben-Mazwi), whose unpredictable actions threaten to tear the family and business apart,”

Returning cast members Eve Rasimeni, Angela Sithole, and Oros Mampofu will be joined by Tony Kgoroge, Abena Ayivor, and newcomer Lebogang Fisher.

While the trailer has intrigued fans, some admitted they had forgotten the details of the first season and questioned the nearly two-year wait for the continuation.

The new season also marks a poignant moment for fans, as it will proceed without actor Mpho Sebeng, who tragically passed away earlier this year. “Savage Beauty” season 2 will debut on Netflix on June 28, 2024.
