Nollywood actress and director Omoni Oboli has announced that her debut series, Last Year Single, produced in 2020, will premiere on Netflix on September 6, 2024.
Oboli, who began her acting career in 1996 with Bitter Encounter, has established herself as one of Nollywood’s leading actresses and filmmakers. Over the years, she has garnered several accolades, including Best Actress at the Los Angeles Movie Awards and the Harlem International Film Festival.
She has received nominations at prestigious platforms like the Africa Movie Academy Awards. Aside from Last Year Single, Oboli has directed popular films such as Moms At War and is set to release The Uprising: Wives on Strike 3 next month, continuing her successful Wives on Strike franchise.
