Minaj expressed hope to perform at the Wireless Festival in London on Friday. In a post on social media platform X, Minaj explained that her security detail advised against traveling to the festival due to the protests.
She expressed disappointment but looked forward to future performances. Minaj also highlighted her responsibilities as a mother, needing to ensure she makes it home safely to her son and that her team returns to their families.
Last month, Minaj’s show in Amsterdam was canceled after she was arrested for allegedly trying to take “soft drugs” out of the country. She claimed racial discrimination in her treatment.
The arrest caused a delay, leading her to miss a performance at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena, which was later rescheduled.
