Frontline actors and comedians Nkem Owoh and Victor Osuagwu were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards by the organizers of the annual Arts Theatre Awards (ATA).
The award ceremony took place online last Sunday, recognizing the thespians for their outstanding contributions to the theatre industry.
Other notable awardees included Titi Akinmoyo and Anote Ajeluorou, who received Special Recognition Awards, and Favour Ugochukwu, who was honored with the Special Achievement Award for his innovative work in theatre.
Steve Onu, popularly known as Yaw, Jerry Adesewo, Efuru, and Onyinyech Joy Ndukawon won the Best Actor award. Aidan Biddiscombe received the Outstanding Theatre Production Design award, while the Morning Star Theatre Troupe won both the Outstanding Ensemble Performance award and the Outstanding Costume Design (Play & Musical) award, which went to Nneka Amarachukwu Nweke, among others.
