Sebastian Ukwa, a Nollywood filmmaker, will debut his first feature film, “A Father’s Love,” on Prime Video on May 31, 2024. Ukwa expressed his excitement about the release in an Instagram post, inviting viewers to experience the gripping narrative of the film.

He wrote:

“My first feature film project is set for release! I’m so excited 😊 Get ready for a gripping ride with ‘A FATHER’S LOVE’ premiering on Prime on May 31st,”

“A Father’s Love” follows the story of a devoted, low-income taxi driver who finds an abandoned baby in his cab. His journey to reunite the baby with its mother leads to a shocking revelation about his own wife, compelling him to navigate the complexities of love and sacrifice.

The film features performances by Yvonne Jegede, David Jones David, Darasimi Nadi, Patrick Diabuah, Beloved Osagie, and Chibunna Stanley, also known as Funnybone.Produced by Steve Gukas, Dotun Olakunri, and Chioma Ezeani, “A Father’s Love” marks Ukwa’s transition from short films and documentaries to feature filmmaking.

Ukwa’s previous works, such as “Oxymoron,” “Rancour,” and “Tales of Browbeaten,” have garnered awards at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival (ENIFF), and Uyo International Theatre and Film Festival (UTAFF).
