Oasis has added five new dates in South America to their highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour. This extension will see Liam and Noel Gallagher bring their iconic band to some of the biggest stadiums in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Their first stop will be in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where they’ll perform two back-to-back shows at the massive River Plate Stadium on November 15 and 16.
Following Argentina, Oasis will head to Chile, playing a single show at the country’s national stadium in Santiago on November 19. They’ll then close out their South American leg with two performances in São Paulo, Brazil, at Morumbi Stadium on November 22 and 23, promising fans an unforgettable experience.
The band’s enthusiasm for their South American fanbase was palpable in a statement directed at their Brazilian fans. They playfully announced, “People of Brazil. Carnival has come early. Fix up. Look sharp. Oasis will see you soon.”
Known for their powerful live performances and devoted following, Oasis is expected to draw massive crowds in each of these cities. South American fans have long been known for their passion, and the added dates reflect the region’s importance to the band’s global fan base.
Fans will have a special opportunity to secure tickets during a presale, which ends at 11 am local time on November 6, providing early access to what is likely to be a heavily sought-after set of shows. Tickets that remain will then go on general sale starting November 13.
Given the band’s massive popularity and recent sell-out successes in the UK and Ireland, these presale and general sale dates are expected to be highly competitive as fans rush to secure their spots.
The overwhelming demand for Oasis tickets has already led to significant challenges for fans, particularly in the UK and Ireland. In August, tickets for their summer shows sold out within hours, and many fans were left disappointed after encountering inflated prices.
Prices reportedly jumped from £148 to £355 due to “unprecedented demand,” sparking outrage among the Oasis community. The ticket-buying frenzy and price hikes have fueled a conversation about ticketing fairness and raised questions about whether fans are being fairly treated.
In response to this fan frustration, there is now a movement to address ticket pricing transparency. Following the high demand for Oasis tickets, UK lawmakers have proposed a new regulation aimed at ensuring fans know exactly what they’re paying for and are not overcharged.
This proposed law, if enacted, would seek to make ticket prices more transparent and prevent companies from using dynamic pricing practices that dramatically increase costs when demand is high.
The UK’s competition watchdog has also become involved in examining the controversial dynamic pricing system used in the Oasis ticket sales. This system allows prices to fluctuate based on real-time demand, a strategy that promoters argue helps distribute tickets but has sparked backlash due to extreme price hikes.
The investigation by the competition authority is part of a broader effort to understand how dynamic pricing affects fans and whether regulatory changes are needed to prevent future issues.
Amidst the ticketing challenges, Oasis has also announced that Richard Ashcroft, the former frontman of The Verve, will join them for their UK and Ireland dates next summer. Ashcroft, known for his iconic voice and role in shaping Britpop with hits like “Bitter Sweet Symphony,” will add an extra layer of excitement to the shows.
His presence is anticipated to make these summer performances even more memorable for Oasis fans, who have eagerly awaited the reunion tour and now look forward to what promises to be a historic tour across both continents.
