A new Lifetime documentary delves into the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, ex-wife of O.J. Simpson, weeks after his death. Titled “The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson,” the documentary features over 50 interviews, including members of Brown Simpson’s family, and is set to air in June.

The trailer reveals poignant statements from Brown Simpson’s sisters, expressing the pain of losing her and the hope that sharing her story will raise awareness about domestic abuse.

Home videos of Brown Simpson and O.J. Simpson, who were married from 1985 to 1992, add depth to the documentary, with interviewees recalling her fears of him.

The film aims to portray Brown Simpson as more than a headline, highlighting her as a person who “got lost in this whole thing.” It promises to bring attention to her life and character, long overshadowed by the sensationalized coverage of her murder.

Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman were murdered in 1994, leading to O.J. Simpson’s infamous trial, where he was acquitted of the murders. However, he was found liable in a subsequent civil lawsuit.

The documentary seeks to give Brown Simpson her narrative back, addressing her life and legacy beyond the sensationalism of the trial.

Scheduled to air on June 1 and June 2 on Lifetime, “The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson” follows in the footsteps of Lifetime’s recent documentary about Wendy Williams.

It aims to shed light on Brown Simpson’s story and the broader issue of domestic violence, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the signs and seeking help.
