Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule, speaking live on Ukhozi FM’s Vuka Afrika Breakfast Show, provided an update on his wife Zanele Mbokazi’s health. Mbokazi, the host of the station’s popular gospel show ‘Eshilo’, fell ill on April 21 during her show due to voice trouble and couldn’t complete it.
After undergoing tests and surgery, she was diagnosed with lung cancer, putting an end to speculations about her health. Listeners responded with prayers and messages of support, expressing hope for her recovery.
Bishop Nkambule expressed shock at the news and requested privacy and continued prayers for his family during this challenging time.
Mbokazi herself shared a video of her husband’s radio interview and affirmed her faith, declaring “No Plan B” and trusting in God’s promises.

She also expressed her determination to fight cancer, stating “Cancer is not my portion!” Mbokazi was admitted to the hospital after experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath while at work, indicating the seriousness of her condition.
