Pop star Paloma Faith will be reading a CBeebies bedtime story as part of a Glastonbury Festival special. The 42-year-old singer recorded her segment at Worthy Farm in Somerset, where she performed barefoot on the Pyramid Stage, describing the experience as “life-affirming and euphoric.”
Faith will read “The Party Animals” by Alex Willmore on Thursday at 6:50 pm, a story about mischievous monkeys whose all-night parties disturb the peace of other forest animals, offering lessons in acceptance and understanding.
Faith, a mother of two daughters aged seven and three, recently split from their father, French artist Leyman Lahcine, her partner of ten years.
During her Glastonbury set, she provided relationship advice to the men in the audience, emphasizing the importance of proactive support in domestic tasks. Despite experimenting with dating apps, she expressed concerns about modern connection issues, describing them as the “Wild West.”
Overcoming a sore throat earlier in the week, Faith delivered her hits energetically and interacted with the audience extensively, prompting producers to remind her to stay on schedule.
Her bedtime story reading is part of a series of Glastonbury Festival specials, including readings by Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno and Abigail Morris from The Last Dinner Party.
