Nigerian singer Patoranking has announced the launch of a new tech scholarship as a birthday gift to the public, in partnership with ALX Africa.
This $500,000 initiative, unveiled on his Instagram account on May 30, 2024, is facilitated through the Patoranking Foundation and offers 40 scholarship slots.
Patoranking highlighted the transformative impact of technology on his music career and business, encouraging interested individuals to apply via the Patoranking Foundation’s social media page.
The scholarship is designed to equip ALX learners with essential tech skills, which they can then apply in a professional work setting.
The program covers all administrative fees for the tech training provided by ALX Africa and includes a paid internship opportunity with one of the world’s leading tech companies upon completion.
This initiative aims to support successful candidates in gaining practical experience and advancing their careers in the tech industry.
The Patoranking Foundation, established over six years ago, focuses on education, entrepreneurship, and empowerment. It seeks to unlock the potential of young Africans through various educational initiatives.
The foundation currently collaborates with schools in Ebonyi State, Patoranking’s home region, supporting over 170 young people in primary and secondary education.
