Since debuting in the Nigerian music scene, Pheelz has captivated audiences with his unique talent, establishing himself as one of Afrobeats’ finest artists. After starting 2024 with a number one album on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart for his work on Usher’s ‘Coming Home’ album, Pheelz is now concluding his ‘Pheelz Good’ trilogy with a new EP titled ‘Pheelz Good II.’
The trilogy began with ‘Pheelz Good I’ EP, which garnered over a billion streams, followed by ‘Pheelz Good (Triibe Tape)’ featuring hits like ‘Jelo’ and ‘Joy’.
The final installment, ‘Pheelz Good II,’ offers a deep, unfiltered reflection of Pheelz’s authentic self, showcasing his constant experimentation by blending Afrobeats with R&B, soul, and hip-hop elements. Each track on the EP tells a unique story, ranging from themes of love and relationships to personal struggles and triumphs.
The lead track ‘Majo’ reimagines Adewale Ayuba’s classic ‘Ijo Fuji’ and serves as a neo-fuji party starter. Inspired by icons such as Fela Kuti and Kanye West, Pheelz aims to introduce a new style of Afrobeats while also reflecting his true self, embracing his vulnerabilities and raw emotions.
Pheelz describes ‘Pheelz Good II’ as a hybrid of various aspects of Afrobeats, marrying emotions with dance floor rhythms. The project, available on all streaming platforms, promises to thrill listeners and prepare them for his forthcoming debut album.
