The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has released an image of three suspects wanted in connection with the murder of TV star Johnny Wactor.
Wactor, a 37-year-old actor who appeared on the soap opera General Hospital, was shot and killed in the early hours of May 25 after approaching thieves who were attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car.
According to detectives, Wactor was shot in the chest with a handgun and died later in the hospital. The suspects fled the scene in a car, leaving behind a trail of evidence that police are now using to track them down.
The LAPD has released a CCTV image showing the three suspects standing around a black vehicle, with one of the suspects having distinctive tattoos above their left eye and on their right cheek.
The police have also released an image of the car the suspects fled in, a four-door 2018 Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior. The car was stolen, and police are urging anyone with information about its whereabouts to come forward.
Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, has spoken out about the shooting, saying that her son had left a rooftop bar nearby and thought his car was being towed when he saw a group of people standing around it.
Johnny Wactor was a talented actor who appeared in a variety of films and TV series, including NCIS, Criminal Minds, Westworld, and Station 19. He played the role of Brando Corbin on General Hospital from 2020 to 2022, appearing in 164 episodes.
His death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many of his colleagues and friends paying tribute to him on social media.
The LAPD is urging anyone with information about the suspects or the stolen car to come forward.
The release of the images is a significant development in the investigation, and police are hopeful that it will lead to the capture of those responsible for Wactor’s murder.
The case is a tragic reminder of the senseless violence that can occur, and the importance of community vigilance in helping to keep neighborhoods safe.
