Pope Francis has welcomed over 100 comedians from around the globe, including notable figures like Jimmy Fallon, Chris Rock, and Whoopi Goldberg, to the Vatican in Rome.
Expressing appreciation for their ability to bring joy and unity through laughter, the Pope emphasized the importance of comedy in navigating the complexities of today’s world.
Ahead of his participation in the G7 summit in Puglia, the Pope’s meeting with the comedians highlighted the role of humor in fostering understanding and bridging diverse perspectives.


During the gathering, which featured entertainers from 15 countries, Pope Francis commended comedians for their skill in spreading positivity without causing offense, even in matters relating to faith.
The event saw renowned personalities like Jimmy Fallon engaging in light-hearted moments before the Pope’s arrival. Notable attendees included Chris Rock, Silvio Orlando, Stephen Merchant, Whoopi Goldberg, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
