Character Description:

Beauty is a fiery, no-nonsense female film director who commands every space she enters. Loud, impatient, and proudly abrasive, she’s built her success on confidence and chaos. Beauty has a commanding voice, a heavy step, and the energy of a general leading an army of creatives. In this episode, she’s accused by a stuntman of endangering him during a rooftop jump—but Beauty swears he insisted he was “invincible” and volunteered for the leap.

Performance Notes:

• Must have a powerful voice and confident physical presence
• Should be able to interrupt rapidly and dominate conversations with comedic timing
• Must display impatience, sarcasm, and exaggerated frustration
• Familiarity with film set culture, satire, and Nollywood references is a plus
• Ability to switch between aggression and sarcasm is essential

• A short improv clip arguing with a stuntman over a failed jump
• Include your name, age, height, location, and acting background in the same clip

SELF-TAPE AUDITION GUIDELINES

Please read carefully before submitting your audition.

GENERAL SETUP

Camera & Framing

• Use a phone or camera in landscape mode
• Frame from mid-chest to just above the head
• Keep the camera at eye level
• Do not move the camera during the take

Lighting

• Face a natural light source or use a soft light
• Avoid harsh shadows on the face
• Do not backlight yourself

Sound

• Record in a quiet space
• Ensure your voice is clear and audible
• Avoid background music or noise

PERFORMANCE INSTRUCTIONS

Tone & Style

• This is a comedy-drama, not a skit
• Play the character truthfully, even when exaggerated
• Avoid cartoon acting — energy should feel natural but bold

Pacing

• Dialogue should feel fast-paced when needed 
• Interrupt naturally when required by the character

Language

• Perform in 95% English
• Add light Nigerian Pidgin only where it feels organic
• Accents should be authentic (do not overdo it)
